All the Goldcar rental cars include compulsory motor insurance and the Complementary Civil Liability for damages against third parties, as long the vehicle is used correctly.

Goldcar rental cars include, in their rates, the coverage of compulsory motor insurance and the Complementary Civil Liability for damages against third parties. These rates also include basic Goldcar coverage, which includes:
It is important to highlight that rental car insurance incorporates an excess in its basic form, but what does this excess mean? An excess is the maximum amount you would have to pay in case of damage to the vehicle.
When you make the contract for your rental car, the excess amount is blocked on your credit card. When returning the car, if the vehicle has not been damaged, the amount retained is unlocked, making it available to the customer again.
The amount of the excess applied to the rental cars varies depending on the category of the rented vehicle & office.

The Super Relax cover is an additional cover for possible damage to the vehicle and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. Also, not only does it eliminate the need to leave an excess deposit, but you will have cover for the following:

The cost of this cover varies according to the office and the rental days, but it can be verified during the reservation process.

If you don’t want to leave any loose ends, you have the option of the Mega Relax cover, where you have everything that is included in the Super Relax and a Premium Roadside Assistance service.
There are other options for rental car insurance, without having to contract it directly with Goldcar. Some of these options include the insurance offered by rental car booking agencies, or additional coverage from your credit card.
You should bear in mind that, although these car rental insurance policies are totally valid and accepted, they are not formalized with Goldcar. This means that when you have to formalize your rental agreement with Goldcar, the corresponding excess deposit will be blocked on your credit card.
In case of an accident or if the car is returned with new damage, Goldcar will deduct that amount from the blocked excess deposit, and the customer will have to claim this back from the company with which they have contracted the insurance policy.
